One dead, several injured after building collapse in Durban CBD

A man's been crushed to death and several other people have been left injured after a structural collapse at a building on Yusuf Dadoo Street in the Durban CBD.
A concrete awning collapsed on the ground floor of the building.
Life Response spokesperson, Leon Fourie says they found a number of people trapped in a shop and some had been hurt.
"We found that one person has passed away, and four people were injured in the collapse.

"We managed to gain access by breaching through a wall, and when we got to the other side, we found another six people that had been entrapped in the building.
"SAPS K9 Search and Rescue have now sent search and rescue dogs into the building to check if there are other victims," he says.
