Officials in Bosasa corruption case appear in court

Several officials from Bosasa and the Correctional Services Department who were arrested earlier - have appeared in court and released on bail.
The arrests follow weeks of testimony at the state capture inquiry - into alleged corruption involving bosses at the facilities management company and senior government officials.
Bosasa has made millions of rands from contracts with government departments - particularly correctional services.

Hawks spokesperson, Hangwani Mulaudzi says a sixth suspect in Port Elizabeth is also expected to be arrested today, while a seventh is still overseas.
"We are talking about R1,6-billion which we believe was appropriated during the tender processing from 2007 until this matter was reported to us in 2010. Since then, we have been busy with investigations and we will be taking them to court. They're facing charges of money laundering," Mulaudzi said.
