Ntuli: Infrastructure upgrades key to cutting crime
Updated | By Tsakane Mhlongo
KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli believes that improving infrastructure in communities can play a role in reducing crime.

He visited Umlazi’s U Section on Saturday, just hours after eight people were gunned down in a mass shooting incident.
The victims, aged between 22 and 40, had been drinking inside a tavern when they came under attack on Friday night.
"The issue of the environmental design and other factors that we need to address like the issue of the lights - to make sure that it is not easy for criminals to commit crimes if there is visibility at night.
"Other service delivery issues we will be engaging with the metro which will warrant us as the provincial government to come on board to ensure that people live in an environment that is much safer."
Ntuli also called on community members to work hand in hand with law enforcement agencies to help curb crime.
