She says government will soon announce a new analogue switch-off date.

This after the Constitutional Court ruled that the previous deadline of June the 30th was unconstitutional.

Ntshavheni says more than 56 000 households in the country have had set top boxes installed.

There've been delays in the flood-hit provinces of KZN and the Eastern Cape.

"So the 30th of June 2022, a total of 94 193 beneficiary households remain unconnected in the two provinces albeit connections are continuing at a slow pace," says Ntshavheni.

The minister says they are aware of cyber-attack concerns.

"There are no cyber dangers, but there is a broadcasting commission that has been set up to look at how we mitigate the dangers of television in general.

"Your digital television sets are now very compliant with disabled communities that's why we have put guidelines to show South Africans which TV sets are digitally compliant so that the disabled communities are not disadvantaged."
