No 'major' incidents on eThekwini roads - metro police

eThekwini Metro police say there have been no major incidents on Durban's roads since the start of the Easter long weekend.

Scores of holidaymakers are in KZN this long weekend, leading to heavy traffic in and around the city.
The metro police's Boysie Zungu says they have more boots on the ground.
"Currently traffic is flowing in all our freeways. There is high police visibility in our CBDs and around the beach. No incidents reported," he says.

Zungu says there have been some arrests on the roads and on the beaches.
"At Marianhill we recorded 1 511 vehicle incoming bound and 1 361 Pietermaritzburg bound."
