No arrests yet after driver robbed, bus set alight

Three armed men who robbed a bus driver before torching his vehicle in Newlands West are on the run.
The man told police he was sitting in his bus in the Riverdene area at around 5am when he was accosted by the trio who stole his cellphone.
The police's Thulani Zwane says the driver then made a run for it with the gunmen firing at him from behind.
"The suspect started to shoot towards him but he was not hurt or injured. Thereafter, he noticed that his bus was on fire. A case of robbery, attempted murder as well as malicious damage to property was opened," said Zwane.
"It is unclear at this stage whether it was petrol-bombed or not. The matter is still under investigation," he continued.
