Yet another cop is under investigation by police watchdog IPID.
An Nkandla officer is said to have shot and killed a man following an altercation over a face mask.
IPID's Ndileka Cola says the incident last Sunday when the police officer Buyisani Biyela stopped at a local garage on his way home from work.
Because he had no mask on, he apparently asked the cashier to assist him while he stood outside.
Cola says this request resulted in a scuffle breaking out between him and four men and Biyela was allegedly assaulted.
