Nine nabbed in Gauteng for ‘industrial scale’ drug lab

Nine people are due to line up in a Gauteng court on Wednesday after the discovery of what police are describing as a 'super' drug lab in Krugersdorp.

The seven men and two women are aged between 18 and 55.
They were arrested on Monday.

The Hawk's Katlego Mogale says the clandestine lab on Pulley Street was operating on an industrial scale and manufacturing narcotics said to be worth millions of rands.
"The discovery of the drug lab was subsequent to allegations that surfaced about the operation thereof.
“The members of the Serious Organized Crime Investigation team descended upon the dilapidated factory where they found an assortment of methamphetamine-producing chemicals in large quantities."
The suspects will face charges related to the manufacturing of illicit drugs.
