Newborn found abandoned in Clair Hills
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
As people around the country continue to rejoice at the news of the baby Siwaphiwe Mbambo's safe return - after another newborn was found abandoned - but safe - in the Clair Hills area, yesterday.

Netcare 911's Chris Botha says the baby boy was discovered by a passer-by on Palmiet Road.
"She was walking along the road when she found this little baby wrapped up under a tree in a black t-shirt. We arrived there and found that the baby was still attached to the placenta. They immediately clamped the cord and cut it to free the baby from the placenta, and cleaned the baby and stabilized him," he said.
The little boy was later transported to a nearby provincial hospital.

Botha says the state in which the baby boy was found indicates he was born about an hour before he was found.
"It's a beautiful, beautiful baby boy - and he's in very good condition," he said.
The news comes after one-month-old baby girl, Siwaphiwe Mbambo, has been found - after being abducted in an apparent hijacking in the Durban CBD on Friday.
Meanwhile, as the country digests the twist in the baby Siwaphiwe case - a special prosecutor has been brought in to work with the SAPS on the case.
The child was found in a car that was intercepted at Mariannhill Toll Plaza. Police set up a roadblock at the tollgate after putting together leads form interviews, leading to the recovery of the baby girl.
Siwaphiwe's mother is one of three people arrested this morning. Another woman and a man are also in custody.
