Newborn baby kidnapped from PMB clinic
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
It's been a week since a newborn baby was kidnapped at a Pietermaritzburg clinic, and her family says they are becoming increasingly worried they may never see her again.
Police say a case of kidnapping has been opened.
The baby's uncle, Sibusiso Mtolo says last week Friday, his sister, Zama Mtolo, left with baby S'thandwa Mtolo to go to the East Boom Clinic in the Pietermaritzburg CBD.
Mtolo says once there, his sister says she met a woman who advised her that she could not go into the doctor's room for a check-up with her baby.

He says the woman asked his sister if she wants help, which she agreed too and handed over her baby.
She then got up to pay a clinic fee.
Mtolo says when she returned, the woman and the baby were nowhere to be seen.
He says his sister then collapsed from shock.
He says police came home to remove some of the baby's clothes to help in the search.
Mtolo says the family are still in shock and hurt and worried sick about the child. He says his sister is still in pain from the actual birth and cannot sleep.
