New water plant brings relief to water-troubled uMshwathi Municipality

Over three-thousand households in a water-stressed area of the Midlands are to benefit from a newly built water plant.

Water and Sanitation Minister Lindiwe Sisulu yesterday handed over a bulk water supply scheme to the uMshwathi Municipality.
Some of the locals have been sourcing water directly from the uMshwathi River.
Sisulu says the scheme will come with job opportunities for residents of Albert Falls, Mpolweni, Trustfeed, and Nadi.
"What we have done today is cut the ribbons over three projects, these projects have been very helpful. For us not only in Human Settlements because they benefit the houses they we are going to build.
