This follows media reports that President Ramaphosa was expected to announce the members of the new executive today.

A political analyst believes the administration will reflect how serious the president is about fulfilling his promises to the country.

Imraan Buccus says we should expect a mixed group of cabinet members.

"I also think Ramaphosa has promised to get rid of a number of deputy ministries in our country. That would be a worthwhile move for Ramaphosa to make. It is clear that he will have to consolidate the economic ministries - in order for South Africa to attract more investment and is more open to the world in terms of moving forward."

With renewed calls for a woman to take on the role of deputy president, Buccus says the president might have a challenge on his hands with his former deputy.

David Mabuza has met with the ANC Integrity Commission.

That's after a commission report suggested that he'd allegedly prejudiced the integrity of the ruling party.

"It's going to be a tough one for the president. We know that Mabuza's name has not been cleared and we hope the Integrity Commission comes back by Tuesday with a ruling. It makes it difficult for Ramaphosa as he has to make a decision. I would be leaning towards the fact that he is likely to announce a female deputy president."
