New Eskom CEO to move into hot seat earlier than expected

Eskom's new boss will start on the 1st of March. Dan Marokane's appointment to the top job was announced last month, with the Public Enterprises Minister saying he would be at his new desk no later than the end of March.

Dan Marokane's appointment to the top job was announced last month, with the Public Enterprises Minister saying he would be at his new desk no later than the end of March.
The power utility has now confirmed the date he will report for duty.

This is not Marokane's first rodeo at the power giant, as he was previously Eskom's head of group capital.
Marokane has also been acting as CEO at Tongaat-Hulett.
Meanwhile, the KZN sugar producer has announced CFO Rob Aitken as its interim CEO.
