New air quality management plan for eThekwini
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
The eThekwini municipality says its new air quality management plan will be reviewed every five years. The multi-million-rand plan will be rolled-out from next month.

The municipality's Mandla Nsele says it was approved by EXCO earlier this week.
“The plan seeks to achieve compliance with air quality objectives and ensure our air is not harmful to the health and well-being of city residents,” Nsele says, “ The plan interventions include the refurbishment and replacement of aging air quality monitors”.
Biomass burning, industrial & commercial emitters remain a major concern.
