Never before seen student inventions at UKZN Open Day
Updated | By Portia Cele
Mechanical engineering students at the University of KwaZulu-Natal will display their unique inventions that have taken close to year to design and assemble tomorrow.

The university's final year students were tasked with bringing to life research designs that will be tested in line with the requirements for their qualifications.
Dean of the Engineering Department, Professor Glen Bright says the inventions had to impact the community in some way.
"The devices have to be tested and need to operate in order for the students to pass the module and graduate as engineers. We focus on functionality and innovation. We look at what the community needs and we try to provide equipment researched and designed for communities," Bright said.
