She says she is concerned about the direction the country is heading.

"I am here to remind people where we come from as a democracy. This is a day where we come together to defend our democracy. We are calling on government to hear our voices. Our Constitution enshrines that the people shall govern, which means people can call their government to order," says Mandela.

She says when ANC Members of Parliament vote in the motion of no confidence in President Zuma, they must do the right thing.

"We are reminding our government that this is the time to embody the principles espoused by our founding fathers. When they go to Parliament and the motion is raised, they must do the right thing to make sure as a country we move forward," says Mandela.

Mandela says government should hear people's voices, create jobs and ensure that the youth has access to education.
