N3TC urges motorists not to drive on the route at night

The N3 Toll Concession is urging motorists to plan their trips between Gauteng and the coast for daylight hours.
The concession's issued the advice after a number of attempts to disrupt traffic along the route have been staged at night.

Spokesperson, Con Roux says violent protests, criminal activities and other disruptions must be reported immediately.
Roux says any disruption to the busy route impacts the economy, as trucks transporting goods between Durban and Johannesburg are often the targets.
Meanwhile, transport authorities are investigating attacks that occurred on the N3 last night and into this morning.
At least four trucks were torched.

Traffic in the Pietermaritzburg area, that is heading from the coast towards Johannesburg, has been severely affected as a result.
