Murder accused Werner de Jager to hear bail fate
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
The husband of slain Amanzimtoti pastor Liezel de Jager is expected to hear the outcome of his bail application on Thursday morning.
Werner de Jager is accused of the murder of his wife, who was found strangled in their home two years ago.
The decision by the Amanzimtoti Magistrate's Court comes after months of bail arguments between the State and the defence.
De Jager is facing a charge of premeditated murder.

There are two additional murder charges looming over him following a fatal crash last year in the Free State that claimed the lives of two people.
The State attorney argued that he shouldn't have been driving knowing that he had memory problems and experienced blackouts.
The State described de Jager as a flight risk and danger to witnesses.
The defence attorney disputed this, insisting De Jager was not a flight risk.
