Municipal ward by-elections results expected today
Results for the 95 municipal ward by-elections that took place across the country yesterday, are expected to be announced by the IEC at midday
In KZN, 12 wards were up for grabs across 9 municipalities.
Nqobile Bekwa, an ANC youth leader talks about the challenge affecting the youth of Umlazi's Ward 81, where the ruling party has control:
"The main problem is some youth at this ward we are on are not working, they are willing to get some jobs. They are expecting more in these candidates."

The EFF's Mbuso Hlangu echoed those concerns.
"The municipality at large can fill in that gap by making sure that the opportunities where the youth can get support, full support in terms of a partnership with an initiative to those who are starting small businesses so that they can get the full support they need for startups."
