Municipal manager of scandal-hit Ugu slapped with suspension notice
Updated | By Nomfundo Ngcobo
Ugu's municipal manager, DD Naidoo is facing suspension.
This is after a forensic report revealed fraud, corruption and irregular and unauthorised expenditure - among other damning findings.
The report has recommended disciplinary action against senior officials as well as criminal proceedings.
It was commissioned by the KZN Cooperative Governance Department.

Ugu's council met last week to discuss the report and what action to take.
Municipal spokesperson, France Zama says Naidoo will have to account.
Naidoo has been given seven days to respond to the allegations.
"The Municipal Manager takes full responsibility in terms of what happened at the municipality.
"That's why the municipal council has decided to issue him with that notice, so that he can be able to furnish council as to what has happened and all the allegations that has been contained on the report.
