Mthembu: State of disaster will remain in place
Updated | By Nothando Mkhize
The Presidency says South Africa's National State of Disaster will remain in place until Covid-19 is contained once and for all.

Minister in the Presidency, Jackson Mthembu's been speaking to Newswatch, after Cabinet on Wednesday extended the period of emergency by another month to the 15 November.
The country's Covid-19 death toll stands at 18 151.
Mthembu says they don't want a new virus surge.
"I don't see us anytime soon, not wearing masks, not social distancing and not washing our hands regularly or using sanitizers."
"In other countries, they have been a resurgence, the number of infections went down and they are now going up. So we wouldn't like the same to happen in our country."
President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to announce a long and detailed economic recovery plan in parliament on Thursday.
