Msunduzi officials following leads in substation fire
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
The Msunduzi Municipality has described the damage to electricity infrastructure - leading to black-outs in areas in and around Hilton and Sweetwaters - as treason.

The municipality says entire communities and businesses were held hostage by the actions of a few.
While the reasons behind the sabotage are yet to be confirmed, Msunduzi says they've enlisted the services of law enforcement agencies to identify the perpetrators and bring them to book.
Officials say important leads are being followed and arrests are imminent. Municipal spokesperson, Thobeka Mafumbatha says independent contractors are working on the problem.

These residents have been speaking to Newswatch, listen below.
