Msunduzi disconnects Plessislaer Police Station, Home Affairs, Ingonyama Trust Board
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
In the second week of Msunduzi's month-long disconnection campaign, the city had the Plessislaer Police Station and the Home Affairs office in its sights.
The municipality says the police station owes over R3 million.
The Home Affairs office was found to be illegally connected.
Officials on Monday removed the cable that's been supplying electricity to the transformer.
The Ingonyama Trust Board has had services cut off over its R8 million unpaid bill.

Last week, the city said it was owed R5.5 billion for water and electricity services and rates and taxes.
Chairperson of the Msunduzi Association of Residents, Ratepayers and Civics Anthony Waldhausen says they welcome the initiative, but it must be done fairly.
"This must also be done to all the businesses as well that also owe the municipality accounts.
"And not to forget they also need to have a drive to disconnect all the illegal connections as well because all these illegal connections are also causing problems to all the outages of water and electricity throughout the city."
