Updated | By Shaun Ryan
KZN Premier Willies Mchunu says no amount of words can express their sympathies to the families of the Msunduzi crash victims.
Twenty lives were lost when the minibus careened down a steep embankment near Cato Ridge on Sunday.
The vehicle has been transporting church congregants.
Mchunu released a statement saying the whole province is in mourning.
He said that the provincial government - represented by Transport MEC Mxolisi Kaunda is in constant contact with the families of the deceased.
Kaunda has also met with leaders and members of the Zion KwaNkonyane Church.

Transport has offered to assist the families as they begin to identify their loved ones.
Mchunu says social workers have also been assigned to provide ongoing psycho-social services to the families and church members.
Psycho-social services will also be provided during funeral ceremonies.
Mchunu, a former KZN MEC for Transport himself, is urging all people to be vigilant on the roads in an effort to save lives.
Transport says the vehicle the congregants had been travelling in was overloaded and experienced suspected brake failure. The exact cause of the crash is being investigated.
