Motorcyclist killed in M4 crash

A biker has been killed in a multi-vehicle crash on the M4 southern freeway.

His motorcycle collided with a truck and a car near the Victoria Embankment off-ramp on Tuesday morning.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says the man is believed to have been in his thirties.

"Unfortunately, there was nothing paramedics could do for him, and he was declared deceased on the scene. There were no other injuries sustained in the other vehicles.
"Traffic was severely affected as three of the four lanes were blocked by this fatal collision.
"At this stage, the events leading up to the crash are unknown; however, SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further."
