Mother, two children critically injured in Durban CBD crash
Updated | By Natarah Nadesen
A woman and her two children have been left in a critical condition after this morning's crash at the corner of Anton Lembede and Stalwart Simelane Streets - in the Durban CBD.

Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says the woman and her daughter, believed to be about 11-years-old, became trapped in the wreckage.
Her teenage son was found lying on the ground near the crash site.
"It was extremely chaotic. Two vehicles had collided and both vehicles were quite far apart. One child had been ejected from the vehicle. The Durban Fire Department had to use Jaws of Life to cut the mom and the daughter free from the wreckage. All three of them - the mom and the two children - are in a critical condition," Jamieson said.

The impact of the collision caused the other car to crash into a traffic light and a wall.
"A total of four patients had sustained injuries ranging from moderate to critical and one was also in a critical condition who was stabilised on scene before being rushed to hospital."
