Some 23 children have been hurt in a triple vehicle crash on Dinkelman Road, near New Germany in Pinetown.
A minibus taxi transporting pupils to school and two cars collided on the route heading towards Clermont this morning.
"Paramedics found a school taxi carrying 23 school children, aged between seven and 12 years-old. A total of 24 people had been injured - of those 23 being children. Immediately, more ambulances were dispatched together with life support medics.
"Once treated and parents have been contacted, they will then be taken to various Durban hospitals for the further care that they require," Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson said.
