A mother has been sentenced to 20 years behind bars for having her son murdered.

Asanda Kwanda Nzama's body was found inside a house in Inchanga, west of Durban last year.
The 20-year-old had been shot.
It's understood Ziningi Jane Nzama arranged for two men, Simphiwe Silangwe and Mthokozisi Majozi, to kill Asanda so she could claim a payout from an insurance policy that was under his name.
The police's Nqobile Gwala says the alleged accomplices' cases are still in court.
"The accused Ziningi Jane Nzama was arrested on 11 December 2021 for the premeditated murder of her son.

"During the course of the investigation, it emerged that the deceased was killed due to insurance policies that were taken under his name by the accused.
"The matter regarding the two accused was adjourned to 24 February 2022 in the Camperdown Magistrates Court.”
The accused are still in custody.
