Mosia told the High Court in Pretoria he failed to test for gun residue on the people who were at the home where Meyiwa was killed in 2014.

“Someone has been shot inside the house and people who were present during the shooting incident were still there. What made you not conduct that crucial investigation of taking a gun shot of gun residue from the hands of all of them who were present,” asked defence advocate Zandile Mshololo.

Mosia responded: “I preceded and followed up on the information that I had already retrieved from one of the colleagues who is a police officer who was at the scene first and knows better on how we do our work.”

Mosia also told the court the did not interview any of the people inside the Vosloorus house when Meyiwa's killed.

Proceedings will proceed on Monday when Mosia is expected to continue being cross-examined.
