More than 9 000 arrests made in KZN in May

Over 9 000 people were arrested across KwaZulu-Natal in May for various crimes.

Police say 195 of them were wanted for murder and 124 for attempted murder.
They says 231 were suspected of rape and 1 844 for assault.

Over 660 firearms, including rifles, were seized during operations, along with ammunition.
The SAPS is urging communities to become involved in community policing forums and help create safer neighbourhoods.
