Elderly KZN woman stabs attempted rapist

A man is under police guard in a hospital in Ndwedwe after he was stabbed, allegedly by an elderly woman he tried to rape.
Police say the 62-year-old woman told them a man entered her Sankombo home over the weekend and strangled and assaulted her.
They say she managed to grab a bush knife and tried to fend him off.

She shouted for help and the neighbours came to her rescue and police were called.
Officers say the 42-year-old suspect faces charges of burglary, attempted rape and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
