Missing south coast teenage girl's body found

The body of a 17-year-old south coast girl who went missing this week has been found in a shallow grave.

Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says the girl was reported missing by her friends on Wednesday at the Masinenge informal settlement.

Zwane says it is understood that she went to see a friend and never returned.

"Community members along with SAPS officers started searching for the girl after she was reported missing", he said.
"Her body was found in a shallow grave. As a result a case of murder was opened by Margate SAPS."
"There are no arrests so far and the matter is still under investigation", he said.
