Human Settlements in KwaZulu-Natal is hosting a two-day workshop on informal settlements to discuss - among other things - the rising number of people moving to eThekwini.
The summit will have a particular focus on Durban.
MEC for Human Settlements, Ravi Pillay will lead the summit that aims to improve the co-ordination and alignment in the informal settlements, upgrade service delivery process while also providing a platform for engagement to all role-players in the sector.
The department says particular focus will be given to eThekwini, the province's largest metropolitan area with the highest population.
As an economic and industrial hub in the region - eThekwini experiences the most in migration - from within and outside the province.
