Metro cop faces discplinary hearing for alleged attack on children
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
An eThekwini metro police official accused of kidnapping and assaulting two special needs children is facing disciplinary action.

The man apparently claimed the 13 and 16-year-old teenage boys broke into his home and stole.
The boys were apparently kidnapped on Saturday.
It's alleged the officer threatened them with his service pistol, beat them with a broomstick, and forced them to drink petrol.
The 13-year-old boy's mother says after she was told her child was being held, she went to a police station.
"Police said they now cannot help us, it must now be parents who speak to the metro cop. The metro cop then says he wants his belongings. He tells me that if I do not pay back his stuff, he will kill my son."

She says she left with the boy, but had to take him to hospital to get checked out.
The woman insists her child was home at the time of the alleged burglary.
Both boys are home.
A case of kidnapping and attempted murder has been opened and police say they're still investigating it.
