The syndicate is accused of terrorising stock owners in Ugu and Harry Gwala districts.

Two of the suspects were busted with the carcasses of three cattle on the R612 road in Sawoti on the South Coast during a police search on Tuesday.

Further investigations led to the arrest of another five suspects who were in possession of three carcasses in Umlazi's J section.
