MEC Scott to deliver Provincial Budget on Tuesday
Finance MEC, Belinda Scott, is putting the final touches to her budget speech which she will deliver tomorrow.
The budget will be delivered days after KZN had its State Of the Province Address - where it was revealed that the local economy had shrunk by 0.16% in the third quarter of 2016, putting pressure on various sectors.
Tomorrow, Scott will deliver her 2017/18 mid-term budget, and the Pietermaritzburg Chamber of Business says it's keen to see what measures of accountability will be announced.

The chamber's Melanie Veness says while many are eager to see how much key sectors - such as Education or Health - will receive - for them it's more than just about that.
"Is there any movement with regard to the new procurement system that was implicated last year? Are tehre funds to ensure it will be implemented? It would be useful to know what happened in respect to the municipalities who received unfavourable audits last year,"" she asked.
