Mabuyakhulu was arrested earlier this year,on charges of money laundering and corruption.

They relate to R28-million which the provincial government in 2012 spent on a music festival that never took place.

The money, the State says, ended up in the back pockets of business people, their companies and politicians -  among them Mabuyakhulu and his 15 co-accused.

At the last appearance back in April, the State indicated it had supplied all relevant statements and documents - including the indictments - to the defence.
