South African Airways says its passengers won't be left stranded.

The airline's cancelled 48 domestic and international trips from next month's flight schedule saying there were not enough bookings and it needed to save money.
SAA's Tlali Tlali says passengers on those flights, will be given the option to fly with their partner airlines.

"In line with the airline's operating procedures, SAA will facilitate the transfer or the accommodation of its passengers on alternative services operated by either SAA or its star alliance partners in order to minimize the inconvenience to our customers," said Tlali Tlali.
The debt-laden public carrier received a government bailout recently of three-and-a-half-billion rand from the Development Bank of Southern Africa.
