South African Airways is grounding 48 domestic and international flights scheduled for next month.
The cash-strapped airline says the move is a cost-cutting measure.
The Durban-Johannesburg route is affected by the cancellations.

SAA spokesperson, Tlali Tlali says they scrutinised flight demand and found it was low for the month of February.
"SAA remains committed to preserving cash and improving on its efficiencies. For the entire period, a total of 48 return trips representing 3% of SAA's normal operating flight's schedule during that period have been cancelled. The decision to cancel and consolidate flights is not uncommon in the industry, especially in cases where the demand is low" he says.
Tlali says arrangements will be made for affected passengers to be accommodated elsewhere.
Earlier this week - the Development Bank of Southern Africa committed R3.5 billion to SAA.
The carrier's business rescue practitioners said the funding would 'put the process on a significantly sounder footing.
