Mdwabe tightens security amid fraud claims against minister, Mbalula
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
A businessman who dropped several bribery bombshells on cabinet ministers says he's had to beef up security over concerns for his own safety.

Mthunzi Mdwaba's claimed ministers Blade Nzimande, Thulas Nxesi and Enoch Godongwana, through middlemen, solicited a bribe of R500 million from a UIF deal his company was negotiating.
ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula responded to the allegation by laying a charge of crimen injuria against Mdwabe.
The Thuja Capital CEO says he's been in legal consultations on how to respond to demands for retractions and apologies.

"Everybody is telling me that these are vicious people, so I'm doing all I can to protect myself, to beef up my security and try to stay home as much as possible.
“And even the keynote that I'm supposed to do, I'm going to do behind a computer, via Zoom, but let’s see what’s going to happen from now.
"I have no regret doing it, and as I've said before, there are people much bigger and much who've had to deal with the consequences of speaking the truth."
