Mchunu collapses during #KZNSOPA

KZN Premier Willies Mchunu has collapsed while delivering his State of the Province Address.
A few minutes into delivering his final address, the Premier appeared to not be very well. He lost his balance, and suddenly collapsed.
Delegates then rushed onto the stage set up at the venue on the Royal Showgrounds in Pietermaritzburg - followed by a lot of commotion in the hall.

Ambulances arrived and Mchunu seemed to refuse to be taken into one but instead decided to go into an official vehicle.
Journalists and representatives of media houses were asked to back away and switch off all cameras - and offer some privacy.

Officials and personnel at the Royal Showgrounds then formed a human tunnel around Premier - to guide him towards the vehicle.
He was then rushed to hospital where he will receive further medical treatment.
MEC Sihle Zikalala, who leads the government business portfolio, has continued with the speech.
