Corruption, service delivery, youth unemployment and political killings are expected to feature in Willies Mchunu's speech at the Royal Agricultural Showgrounds in Pietermaritzburg.

The DA's Zwakele Mncwango says not enough has been done to curb fraud and corruption within government.

"We expect the Premier to report back on why he has not yet initiated a national audit which he promised in the last SOPA - for all Cabinet members. Until today, this hasn't been done."

The IFP's Blessed Gwala says a fresh approach is needed to help those without jobs.

"The Minister of Finance has made it clear that the country is bankrupt. This means that whatever he is going to say - it will not help the poor and the people who are unemployed."

Sabelo Sigudu from the NFP echoed these views, saying the province needs a clear plan on how its going to bring down unemployment figures.
