Mayor Zandile Gumede says they're taking serious steps against corruption.

Gumede has made the statement after delivering her State of the City Address to councillors at Durban Hall yesterday.
This after the Hawks announced it's investigating two municipal officials on allegations of fraud and corruption to the tune of R25-million.

She has also given a thumbs up to the Hawks's probe.
"When we deal with corruption - we will name and shame all those who steal from the poor. We will not name and shame people on the basis of allegations. We will do it through legal actions. We are prepared to fight corruption," she said.
Gumede says she was also waiting for a report on the alleged selling of posts at the municipality.
