Matrics sit for first major exam

Matrics will sit for their first big exam together, English Paper 1 this morning.

In KwaZulu-Natal, almost 200 000 pupils will write the compulsory paper today.
Some Grade 12 pupils have told Newswatch they are ready for the final stretch of their schooling careers.
The National Senior Certificate exams will end on the 28th of November.
The final exam timetable kicked into full swing this week. Two smaller, practical exams were written last week.

The provincial Education Department says it is confident extra lessons and its winter school programme will help usher in better results this year.
Accounting will be written tomorrow. The focus then shifts to Maths Paper 1, Maths Literacy Paper 1 and Technical Maths Paper 1 on Friday.Show's Stories
