Matrics given second chance to get exam marks reviewed

Those who wrote matric exams last year have until the 10th of March to apply for a review of their marks.

The 2020 matric results were released this week.


Students who aren't happy with what they got can ask for a re-mark or to have their scripts rechecked.


KZN Education spokesperson Muzi Mahlambi says this also applies to those who didn't make it. 


"If they want to register to rewrite, those who are supplementing and those that want to repeat. They go to their district officers at their school then they will be assisted on how to do that."

This can also be done online but subjects need to contact their District Office for details. 


Costs will be stated accordingly upon request of re-marking or rechecking.


This will take place from the 23rd of February to the 10th of March.

The results of the re-marking and re-checking of examinations will be released on the 14th of March 2021. 


The re-mark and Re-check costs are as follows: 


re-mark at R120.00 per script and re-check at R29.00 per script.
