Mashatile: Phala Phala findings should be accepted
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Deputy President Paul Mashatile has urged political parties to accept the processes and outcomes in the Phala Phala saga.

Mashatile answered questions before the National Counsel Of Provinces on Thursday.
He said institutions dealing with the matter should also be afforded the space to carry out their work despite any difference of opinion.
The country's Reserve Bank recently cleared President Cyril Ramaphosa of wrongdoing, saying no exchange control laws were violated.

The bank's finding follows that of the Acting Public Protector, which also cleared Ramaphosa of any wrongdoing.
"The South African Revenue Service, the Public Protector and the South African Reserve Bank have dealt with the Phala Phala allegations and issued statements in terms of their findings. President Ramaphosa has committed to be subjected to all processes governed by our constitutions and the laws of our country.”
Mashatile said any outcomes should accepted as fair.
"We further emphasise that State and law enforcement agencies must be allowed and be given enough space to complete their work without undue pressure or any form of interference. Lastly, when they are done, we should accept the results."
