Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
There has been another family murder in the province, the second in KwaZulu-Natal this week.
Police say five people were attacked at their home in Mariannhill, west of Durban by a group of gunmen late last night.
The police's Nqobile Gwala says the victims include a woman and four children.
"One injured victim was taken to hospital, where he later passed away. The motives for the killing is still unknown at this stage and Mariannhill SAPS are investigating five counts of murder," she said.

Gwala also confirmed that a Provincial Organised Crime Task Team will investigate the latest murder case.
Earlier this week, a family in Matimatolo near Greytown were shot and their houses set alight.
Two elderly women and six children died following that attack, the motive for which is also unknown.
