Police on the south coast are monitoring a taxi-industry
related feud unfolding in Margate.
Officers say rival taxi associations have been involved in several altercations since Thursday.
They say a few people, including a nine-month-old baby, were left injured.
Several taxis were also left damaged and a gun was confiscated.
KZN Police spokesperson, Robert Netshiunda says a Warrant Officer who was attending to the violence was shot yesterday.

Netshiunda says they've opened an attempted murder case.
" The officer responded to a report of a shooting near the police station and before she knew it a minibus taxi approached in high speed and one of the occupants fired a shot which hit her in the foot. "
The shooting incident is believed to be a continuation of a taxi industry feud which erupted on Thursday.
A case of malicious property damage has been registered with the police.
