Manhunt for Maritzburg man after wife shot dead
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
Police are trying to establish the whereabouts of a Pietermaritzburg man who allegedly shot his wife dead.
It's understood Ntombizodwa Dlamini had an argument with her husband on Saturday night which turned violent and left her injured.
The 40-year-old nurse, who was based at Edendale Hospital, reported for work yesterday morning but was told to see a doctor about her injuries and then sent home.
It's understood she went to her parents home in Richmond. Her husband arrived a short while later - demanding that she come home.
Police say the mother-of-two was shot several times after refusing to leave with her husband.

A case of murder is being investigated.
Health MEC, Sibongiseni Dhlomo says he'll be visiting Dlamini's family to offer them support.
"We think it's barbaric and cruel for a husband to come in and shoot her in front of her parents. We mourn the loss of such a professional. We will try and make arrangements to visit the family. It will also be part of comforting them during this very difficult period," Dhlomo said.
