Manhunt launched for alleged Impendle triple rapist
There's a hunt for a man who raped three young women in Impendle west of Pietermaritzburg.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala says the young women were attacked on Saturday night in front of their grandmother.
"An unknown suspect wearing a balaclava forced the door open entered the house and at gunpoint he raped three family members aged between 19 and 25. A 72-year-old woman witnessed the incident collapsed and was declared dead at the scene."
"We are appealing to anyone who might have information about the suspect involved in this incident to contact the local police or our crime stop number 08 600 10 111."
Social Development authorities say social workers have been sent to help the rape survivors and their family.
